Sky

When you look at the sky at night,
tell me what do you see...

do you see the blackest of nights,

or stars bright as bright can be..
do you see the bright round moon,
smiling down at me...

When you look at the rumbling sky,
tell me what do you feel...
Do you savour the earth moving,
or do you simply just ignore it’s zeal..
Do you observe how the lightning,
exactly like laughter starts to peal..

When you look at the clouds above,
tell me how are you touched...
Are you overflowing with the wonders,
that many are unable to vouch..
Are you totally saturated with emotion,
so excessive, it is impossible to slouch..

As the sun starts to rise,
tell me is it love that you are experiencing..
Love for the world and it’s beauty,
or love for god who made us living..
Is it love for the eyes that let us see,
or love for our heart that keeps on beating..

When you look at the blazing, red, sun,
so high up in the distant sky,
do you sense what I am feeling..
Or do you do your best to try,
to ignore what I’m revealing,
to everyone and all sundry,
the beauty and magnificence of the sky...
