Okay. So I haven't posted in a very very very long time. I think it's because I got too busy or lazy or both. Although, come to think of it, how can one be too busy and too lazy at the same time? Hmmmm.... Well, I did!
Since my last post, I have switched careers maybe 2000 times, changed my mind 1000000000 times, put on 20 pounds, lost 10 pounds, got a job at the Starbucks corporate office, quit the cooking career, found out my best friend in Singapore, Lois (see pics below), is getting married!, changed my last name, gotten my US citizenship, got called to Jury Duty (I think it's a conspiracy by the way, because they must have had me on a green card/alien waiting list, because as soon as I got my citizenship, I got called to Jury Duty!), got a Business class ticket to Singapore on miles, changed my ticket to Singapore on miles because of afore mentioned friend in Singapore getting married, and last but not least, celebrated our first Wedding Anniversary and we will be celebrating our second one in a few weeks! How time flies! Life can change on a moments notice and if we don't take a moment to slow down and take notice, we might miss all that life has to offer! Deep huh! I know. I have my moments. Especially when one is very bored sitting in Jury Duty, waiting to be called to see if one needs to continue sitting!
You know, they kept saying that this is the way it has to be for the system to work. But what they don't realize is that the system doesn't REALLY work does it? If it did, criminals would not be free and innocent people would not go to jail. In short, the system is flawed. There are about 150 people in this room and we have to be here for at least 3 days! I did not know that! I thought, you go in, they ask you some questions, figure out if you are qualified, and then if you are not, you go home! NOOOOO!!! That is toooo easy! If it was that easy, it would mean that the system does work! HA! Yeah rite. We sit here, waiting for a judge to call on us, and when we get called, we have to wait until they get to us to question us. Then, if we are not selected for jury duty, we come back into the same room and wait until another judge calls for us and this repeats until the room is empty. This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of! What a waste of time! No wonder people always try to get out of jury duty. It takes way too long. You would think that with all the technology in the world, this could be done with the person sitting at their office desk. Hey! There's an idea! We could do this via net meeting. When the judge wants to speak to you, they can call you at your office and ask you to connect to the net meeting. They ask their questions and then they determine then and there if you are qualified. That way, people who do not have to be there physically don't have to be and it saves everyone so much time! Maybe in the year 3000, this might actually happen! The way the government moves, I won't be surprised if this goes on until global warming takes effect and we kill our own kind!
Okay. So there are only about 6 computers in here and 150 people in here looking for something to do. In short, the computer is a very high commodity and I have to pee so that means I have to give it up! Oh well, hopefully I can hold it a little while longer.
Oh, guess where Rob & I are going to celebrate our 2ND year anniversary? Oh by the way, I call them honeymoons and it drives Rob crazy! I feel that we should always have honeymoons instead of anniversaries! Who is to say that we can't have multiple honeymoons?
Ok, segue into a guy who is yelling m***erf***kers in here! Scary!!! Maybe he will get kicked out! Drama!
Anyways, here is where we are going: http://www.cunard.com/ourships/default.asp?ship=QM2
The Queen Mary 2 is one of the largest ships in the world! We are going on a cruise! I love cruises. You eat, drink, play, lay out.... Of course I have to lose another 10 pounds but yea rite, who are we kidding. Sorry Rob, you get what you get! :)
Hopefully, we will take pictures and there will be some decent ones I can post. That's another thing. We always do fun stuff and we always remember to bring the camera but we never remember to take pictures! Haha! Just another one of those things.....
Oh another thing, we are going back to Sanibel Island where Mandy & Andreas got married and we are celebrating their anniversary with them! http://www.tween-waters.com/index.cfm Mandy had a beautiful baby boy and I will post pics soon. It will be a lot of fun. Hanging out with them again. We haven't done that in a very long time. Well, there will be a lot of drinking and eating and til then, I leave you with this lovely thought! Me puking my guts out from too much drinking and too much eating! See ya later. Oh and of course there will be no pics on that.....
